In the first quarter of this year, Grupo Miguel will start with the installation of a new energy consumption system through solar panels. This equipment will be acquired from Grupo Poma and beyond its innovative potential in the country, positioning the company as an environmentally friendly institution.

Grupo Miguel, through its power plant “Central Electric Generator” (GECSA) aims to transform the whole system of its industrial complex into green energy, by means of the installation of a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 12 Mega Watts. The pilot plan will begin next month with the installation of the first Mega in one of the plants.

In addition to producing clean and renewable energy, this project will allow Grupo Miguel to reduce energy costs and automatically become a more competitive company in terms of costs for its customers and product promotion.

It is intended that the solar panels corresponding to the first two phases, which would mean the pilot plant, the new Grupo Miguel plant and the cafeteria in the new complex will be installed by the first half of next year.
