Our History

Grupo Miguel was born in 1948, under the founding of Héctor Miguel Bandek, a pioneer in the industry and manufacture of labels and elastics in El Salvador and Central America. His vision of business and perseverance, allowed his incursion into the foreign market to be almost immediate so also trained all the companies that constitute today Grupo Miguel.

Fábrica de Listones Fantasía, one of the first factories of the group, began operations in 1958 with the production of ribbons woven in narrow looms such as twill and laces, also incursions in the manufacture of elastic knitted and jacquard, elastics printed with more than 8 colors, Satin and elastic bands.

But in the search for diversification of its product offering to meet the needs of its customers, in 1991, it joined the operation of labels and embroidery tapes, which is the core of the group’s textile processes, where it initiated the process of Dyed yarn and elastics.

In 2005, with the support of the companies of the group, GECSA, the Central Electric Generator, was given an ambitious electric power generation project, with a capacity of 12 Mega Wats in its first stage. To satisfy one of the primary needs of neighboring companies.

However, the family of Grupo Miguel continues to grow and in 2006 incorporated Integra Textiles, which offers full product operations. But also in 2016, Grupo Miguel appended to its industrial complex a new stage, which seeks not only to be leaders in the field of finished product manufacturing, but also to generate more than 1000 new jobs for Salvadorans and Salvadoreans.

That is when GRUPO MIGUEL consolidates its values, such as the entrepreneurial attitude and the passion for its work, but it has evolved with the industry incorporating cutting-edge technology in its activities.

Now, Grupo Miguel generates employment for more than 1000 Salvadorans from different departments of the country and these are the main engine that positions the company as a leader in the manufacture of accessories and complements for textile industries.
